Preparing Your File for Printing with Sticker Print
For those experienced designers looking to fully control their sticker design, here’s a straightforward guide. If you encounter any confusion, feel free to leave a comment in the editor, and we’ll assist you!
RGB vs CMYK
When creating your design in Photoshop, Procreate, or Illustrator, start in CMYK mode. While you can convert from RGB to CMYK, the colors might shift, and we cannot guarantee exact color matching.
Converting RGB to CMYK:
-
Photoshop:
- Upload your file in Photoshop.
- Go to Image → Mode → CMYK.
-
Illustrator:
- Upload your file in Illustrator.
- Go to File → Document Color Mode → CMYK.
Cutline
There are several methods to create your cutline depending on your skill level. Ensure your design's size matches the final sticker size for an accurate cutline. Here are instructions for a basic custom cutline:
- Create your design as a vector file.
- Copy your design to a new layer.
- Go to Pathfinder → Merge → Unite.
- Add spot colors 0,100,0,0 and name it “die cut.”
- Go to Object → Path → Offset Path (Offset path = 0.2 cm or 2 mm, miter limit = 4).

Effect Layer
For detailed designs, we recommend creating your own effect layer to ensure satisfaction with the results. If needed, you can always leave a comment for assistance.
To create an effect layer in Photoshop (preferred by our graphic support team):
- Select the details in your design.
- Change their color or create a new file showing just the details without the rest of the design.
